Tom Jobim, composer, guitar player, and conductor,

was one of the main founders of Bossa Nova. A musical genre that blends the sophistication of jazz with popular music. It was in this fusion that designer Mauricio Bomfim found inspiration to create the Tom armchair. Its light curves are enhanced by a refined, sophisticated base.
